Hey there and welcome to Pandamania!

Ailuropoda
The Ailuropoda Melanoleuca (aka Giant Panda) is a native of south central China and easily recognizable due to its large black spots around its eyes, on its ears, and around its large round body. Their average life span in the wild is 20 years. They can grow to about 4 ft to 5 ft and weigh around 300 lbs. Pandas have carnivorous teeth but eat fruit and bamboo. They spend 12 out of the 24 hours in the day, eating.
Panda Eating Bamboo
Melanoleuca
One bear can eat up to 12–38 kilos of bamboo and rid their bodies of 28 kilos of bamboo waste a day. Although the Giant Panda is seen as sedentary, they are skilled climbers and swimmers. Prehistoric panda fossils date back to one to two million years ago. These bear things are quite old!

Fun fact: Pandas go from pink to white and black (or brown).
